Hope Jabes, the chief executive officer of Leads Consult, emphasized the need for a significant shift in mindset and the creation of innovative business solutions.

“Malawi needs a great mindset change and innovative business ideas to tackle various challenges and build a better Malawi,” he said.

Jabes further stressed that fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among the youth is critical for the country’s development.

He said:”If you walk around in our streets, you discover that we have so many good ideas. What is lacking is action and implementation.

“What worked ten years ago is not working now and hence the need to change our approach and we are urging young entrepreneurs to turn their innovative concepts into reality.”

Echoing Jabes’ sentiments, Amaryllis Hotel general manager Ramy Waheed highlighted the opportunities available for young entrepreneurs.

“Young people should take advantage of the availability of organizations and companies ready to fund their viable business ideas,” he said.

The conference gathered both new and experienced entrepreneurs where it offered a place to network, learn, and get inspired, highlighting how important young business leaders are for economic growth and solving social problems.
